Candle Care

1. Container candles

Your London Home Scents candle has been carefully handcrafted using premium soy wax to provide a clean, beautiful burn. Following these simple care tips will help you enjoy your candle safely and for as long as possible.

Before your first burn

Allow your candle to burn until the entire surface has melted to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Trim the wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5 mm (¼ inch). This helps reduce soot, prevents excessive flickering, and keeps the flame at a safe height.

Burn time

Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to cool completely before relighting.

Keep away from drafts

Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from open windows, fans, and air vents, as drafts can cause uneven burning.

2. Decorative candles

Our decorative candles are designed to be beautiful home décor as well as functional candles. If you choose to burn them, always place them on a heat-resistant dish or tray, as wax will drip while burning.

3. Tea light candles
